Durdle Door in Dorset. This unique rock formation, has been eroded by the sea over many years.
This image was taken half an hour before sunset.

Looking through the archway, on the shortest day, the sun can be seen to set on the horizon.
Don't forget that staring at the sun, should be avoided at all costs, unless you are wearing eye protection fit for purpose.

Date: 21/12/05

Location: Durdle Door, Dorset

Photographer: Graeme Pidgeon
